Comfort-Focused Medical Care

At Beyond Borders AFH, we place more of an emphasis on symptom management and pain relief. Medication and therapies are administered to patients in order to alleviate pain, enhance breathing, lessen nausea, and promote general comfort. This method enables people to pass away peacefully and with dignity. In order to provide care that is adapted to the patient’s changing needs and prioritizes quality of life over aggressive medical interventions to prolong it, our medical professionals collaborate closely with the inhouse caregivers.

Emotional and Family Support

We offer patients and their families psychological, spiritual, and emotional support. During this trying time, our social workers, chaplains, and trained counselors provide coping mechanisms, spiritual direction, and grief counseling. Families receive support prior to, during, and following the death of their loved one, as well as guidance in making end-of-life decisions. This all-encompassing care guarantees that no one must face the end-of-life journey alone, fosters acceptance, and helps to create a calm environment.
